| Projection Update - |
| EP Notes |
| Wednesday: Due to the July 4th holiday and the fact that my family and I are travelling, there will be no updates the next few
days. Daily updates will continue next Monday, July 7. Until then, I hope all of you have a wonderful time this weekend celebrating our nation's
brithday. God bless America!!

| President |
| Monday: The electoral map this week is starting to reflect Obama's lead in the national polls. Even though McCain actually closed the gap by virtue
of Missouri returning to his column, the majority of changes this past week have favored the Illinois senator. Obama's lead in blue battleground states such as Michigan, Minnesota
and Wisconsin has expanded into comfortable margins. On the other hand, such solid red states as Georgia and Arkansas are moving into the 'Weak McCain' territory. The EV tally
now stands at 338 - 200 with Obama out in front, and his projected popular vote lead had grown steadily to 7.46%, 53.23% - 45.77%.
|
| Senate |
| Monday Last week, Mitch McConnell's seat changed from a projected Democratic takeover to a close but comfortable GOP hold. This week another
formerly-projected Democratic takeover comes home. Roger Wicker's razor thin advantage in a poll release last week has moved him in front by the narrowest of margins in Mississippi's
special Senate election.
|
| Governors |
| Monday: Not much to report on the gubernatorial contests. The Democrats hold their projected 29-21 lead in governorships this week.
|
| House |
| Monday: I am still working on expanding the list of hotly-contested House races. Updates will continue throughout the next week and, with the July 4th
holiday coming up, probably into the following week. For now, the projected numbers remain the same - 242 Democrats, 193 Republicans.
|
| Upcoming Calendar |
| The next primary is 2 weeks away. It will be in Georgia on July 15.
